I love folklore and mythology, and my Almanac collection of colourful contemporary screen prints reflects that. The festival of Mabon is my inspiration for this unique multicoloured contemporary monoprint. Screenprinted over multiple layers, these prints are made intuitively, building up compositions spontaneously in the printroom. You can see the whole collection here.
Mabon is also known as the Autumn Equinox, the second harvest where fruit is gathered. Mabon was a Welsh god, son of the Earth Mother Goddess. The main symbol of this date is the apple, representing life, healing and renewal.
