My Almanac collection of folklore screenprints reflects my love of celebration, coupled with a fascination with folklore and mythology. I have selected key dates in the wheel of the year as my starting point for this cream, peach and grey abstract screenprint. Imbolc is a Celtic festival, celebrated on the first of February. For Celtic people, farming was of central importance. At this time of year energies were focussed on a good harvest later in the year. It is traditional to light a fire and make candles, encouraging the life-giving energy of the sun.
